I am Martin. I build websites for small businesses across Greater Manchester. I care most about the parts nobody enjoys talking about: where your enquiries land, who owns the domain, and what happens to all of it in two years.
I trained in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Git on the Shift Click programme. Before that I spent about ten years in retail, so I know what it is like to be on the other side of the counter.
On Stephen's rebuild I moved a live site, its domain, its email and a second domain onto new hosting without his enquiries missing a beat, and cut his running costs to the price of the domain. You get the same person for the quote, the build and the support afterwards. There is no account manager and nothing gets passed to anyone else.
Viaduct Web is new, and I would rather say so than be vague about it. Here is what that actually means for you. Your domain, your hosting and your accounts are set up in your name from day one, and the site itself is plain files that any developer can pick up. If I stopped trading tomorrow your site would keep running, your email would keep working, and you would lose nothing. There is no account of mine that your business depends on, which is the part worth checking with anyone you hire, not just me.

How I work
Four things I will not move on.
Fixed price, always
You get the number in writing before I start. If the job grows, I quote the extra and you decide. Nothing appears on an invoice you have not agreed.
Everything in your name
Domain, hosting, forms, analytics. Set up in accounts you control from day one, so you are never locked to me.
No monthly fees
Hosting for a normal site is free. Changes are priced per job. If you never need me again, that is a fair outcome.
I tell you what not to buy
If a page, a feature or a tool will not earn its money for your business, I say so. Turning down work I do not think you need is cheaper for both of us.
What you can check before you hire me
A new business has to earn trust, so here is what you can read or test before you pay anything.
Insured
Viaduct Web holds professional indemnity and public liability insurance, arranged through PolicyBee. It is stated in my terms.
Business details in the open
A sole trader, with the full business address, phone number and email on the terms page. Not VAT registered, so there is nothing added to a quote.
Terms in plain English
What you pay and when, who owns what, and what happens if I stop trading or cannot finish a job, all on one page you can read before you pay anything.
Speed you can test
Tested in September 2026 on Google's PageSpeed Insights, this site scores 100 on desktop and above 95 on mobile. Anyone can run the same test on viaductweb.co.uk.
He also made sure that all the important accounts are in my own name, so I retain complete ownership and control of the website.
