Prices
Half books your start date. The rest is invoiced when the site goes live. Nothing to pay monthly, and the domain and hosting stay in your name.
Starter, £500
One page that covers everything: what you do, who for, what it costs, and how to reach you. The right choice when you are new, when most of your work comes through word of mouth, or when you need something real for people to find when they Google your name.
You get the design and build, a contact form that lands in your inbox, the domain and hosting set up in your name, and one round of changes. Usually live in about a week.
Not this one if you want to add your own news or offers later, need bookings or payments, or have several services that each deserve a page. Those want Business.
Business, £1,000
Up to five pages, so each service or area gets its own page and its own chance to show up in search. This is the one most established businesses want: a home page, a page per service, an about page and a contact page.
On top of the Starter build you get booking links or a WhatsApp button, an editor so you can change your text, prices and news yourself, your Google Business Profile set up to match the site, and two rounds of changes. Online payments can be added. Usually live in two to three weeks.
Not this one if you sell products online or need customer accounts. That is a Custom build, quoted from £2,000.

A page means one layout and one set of text. You send me the information for it and I lay it out and tidy up the wording. A shop, a booking system or a members area is not a page, and is quoted separately.
After launch, changes are priced per job, from £10 for a small edit. There is nothing to pay monthly. Hosting for a normal site is free and the domain is about £10 a year, paid by you to the registrar.
How paying works
We talk first, then I send a fixed price in writing. Pick a package to see the split.
Custom builds are quoted per project and paid the same way. No VAT is charged, as the business is not VAT registered.

After our call I send a card link for the deposit, or bank details if you prefer. Card payments are handled by Stripe, so card numbers never reach this site.
Questions
The ones that come up most.
How long does it take?
A Starter site is usually live in about a week. A Business site takes two to three weeks, mostly depending on how quickly I get your text and photos.
What do you need from me?
What you do and who for, your prices, your logo, and your photos. If you have not written anything yet, the list I send when the deposit is paid takes each page in turn and asks you plain questions, so you are filling in answers rather than writing a website. If you would rather someone else wrote it properly, I can put you in touch with a copywriter.
Do you write the content?
You provide the information and I shape it. That means I cut it down, put the important part first, and write the headings and buttons so the page reads well. What I do not do is invent what your business says about itself from scratch, because you know that better than I do.
What if I have no logo or photos?
I build sites rather than design logos, so bring me the files you have. With no logo I set your business name in type, which suits most small businesses anyway. With no photos I use good stock images, though real photos of you and your work will always pull in more enquiries.
Do I own the site?
Yes. The domain, hosting and code are all in your name from day one. If you ever want to move on, you take everything with you.
What does hosting cost?
Nothing, for a normal site. The domain is around £10 a year and you pay for it directly.
Can I update it myself?
Yes, through a simple editor for text, prices and news. Or send me the change and I will do it, from £10.
How do I pay you?
The deposit by card link or by bank transfer. The balance is invoiced when the site goes live, on 14 day terms.
Can my site take payments?
Yes. Deposits, bookings, monthly plans or a full shop, through Stripe or PayPal. Your customers pay on a secure page and the money goes to your bank.
Do I need a cookie banner?
Usually not. I use visitor stats that do not need one. If you add something that does, like Google Ads tracking, I will add a proper notice.
